The Natchez Trace Parkway is a travel experience through thousands of years of history along the route from Natchez in southwestern MS through the heart of the state in Jackson, then northeast to Tupelo, across to Northwest AL, and then Nashville, TN. (Follow the city links above to find tourist attractions along the way.)
Don't let the 50 MPH speed limit slow you down from a great trip to get out and enjoy one of the many great trails you'll find nestled along this non-commercial route. The off road trails are all well maintained and provide a relaxing getaway and great exercise through the back country hills and "hollers."

Check out the storied history of the Trace as it is a huge part of our national heritage and is managed by the National Park Service. There are monuments, historical markers, visitor centers, and sites along the way to keep you occupied whether you want- a casual drive, bike ride, or to just hit the trails.
There will be plenty of wildlife to view and enjoy no matter what you plan to do, but NO HUNTING and NO SPEEDING!
Find out all the necessary info at the main site: https://www.nps.gov/natr/index.htm.
Enjoy!
